What do we do?

COS is the Bird Club for NW Wales, covering the counties of Caernarfon, Meirionnydd and Anglesey. Our activities include:
-
Production of a Bird Report covering the Cambrian area – free to members.
-
Publication of a Bulletin with articles and news – free to members.
-
Monthly evening meetings from Jan – May and Sept – Dec; these are held at the Pensychnant Conservation Centre near Conwy.
-
Field excursions to venues in North Wales and also further afield (including a annual coach or boat trip).

What do I get?

Members receive a free copy of the Cambrian Bird Report, four Bulletins a year and a warm welcome at all our events. Beginners find that the field trips are a very good way to improve their ID skills – there’s always someone willing to help!

How do I join?

The subscription is a very reasonable £12 per year, £14 for couples and only £6 for students and juniors (under 21). Send a cheque payable to ‘Cambrian Ornithological Society’ to the Membership secretary:
