We have a programme of indoor evening meetings and field visits. Everybody is welcome, whether a member or not.
These are held at Pensychnant Conservation Centre & Nature Reserve, at the top of the Syychnant Pass on the back road between Conwy and Penmaenmawr, postcode LL32 8BJ. All the indoor meeting start at 7:30, and are usually held on the first Friday of the month. We have an interesting range of speakers, covering a wide variety of topics. Admittance is £1 for members, £2 for non-members.
If the weather is bad, you can contact Pensychnant on 01492 592595 or email email@example.com to check that the meeting is still going ahead.

We hold outdoor meetings most months, visiting good birdwatching sites within the Cambrian's area and beyond. Sometimes we arrange coach trips to more distant locations, or boat trips, for example to Bardsey. The trips are led by COS members or by other birdwatchers who are thoroughly familiar with the site and know where to find the birds. You do not need to be a bird expert. Beginners are very welcome, and we will be happy to help you with bird identification. There is no charge for most outdoor meetings, even if you are not a member, though there will be a charge for coach and boat trips to cover costs.
If you would like to come along to an outdoor meeting, please check the programme for the location of the meeting point. Bring lunch, suitable outdoor clothing and binoculars. A telescope is often useful if you have one, but not essential and probably best left at home for woodland trips.
If you have questions or would like to car share to get to the starting point, telephone Geoff Gibbs 01248 681936 or Gareth Jones 01248 601319. You should also telephone to check that the meeting is still running if the weather is particularly bad.
